Happy meowsgiving everyone! Unlike last year, this Thanksgiving was spent in Austin at my sister’s apartment. We ate leftover pizza because there wasn’t enough time to cook the turkey before my sister had to go to work and then my dad built a table while my mom and I watched Parks & Rec. It was kind of depressing.
I’ve been up since 6:45am because I had to take Trevor to the airport so now I’m spending the day with Dignan (puppy times!) and Harry Potter until I go to work at 2pm.
I’ve been so broke for the past few months that I’ve been unable to buy anything new for quite some time, but since winter in Austin only lasts a few months of the year the winter clothing I have feels practically new! This sweater jacket, for example, was purchased at the end of last winter on sale and I haven’t actually had a chance to wear it until now:
SWEATER JACKET: Nasty Gal

Boots to live in all winter:::
1. Aron Triple Buckle Boots, $140
2. Lace Up Grey Biker Boots, $156.99
3. Deena & Ozzy Moto Harness Wedge Boot, $79
4. Artiste Faux Snakeskin Lace Up Boots, $150
5. New Kid Dreamcore Boots, $196
6. Deena & Ozzy Studded Wedge Boot, $69

Oh hello! Look! I wore some clothes (full disclosure: I’ve been wearing clothes this whole time). It’s been so long since I did this that I forgot how to pose and look really awkward in all my photos (nothing new there) and also I had to take about 200 photos to get a few decent ones because I don’t know how to use this camera or stand without looking weird.

It’s been getting progressively more chilly here in Austin and I chose this outfit to photograph because I’m finally wearing something other than shorts and t-shirts day in, day out. I’m really obsessed with the shorts-over-tights look and it’s perfect for the lighter winters we experience here in Texas. These knit shorts are warm and soft and paired with chunky boots and a slim sweater, it makes the perfect fall outfit for whiskey on the patio and late night movie chats on friends’ porches.
