Everything is Coming Up Roses

SHIRT: Zara
SKIRT: Anthropologie
SHOES: Seychelles
PURSE: gift from my aunt in Brazil
This morning I felt extremely lazy and was about to reach for my jeans and throw on a t-shirt for work but for the past week I’ve been dressing like a hungover college kid and I decided it was time to stop.
After rummaging through my chest of drawers for a while I stumbled upon this shirt and realized I hadn’t worn it since last year! I always feel so guilty when I don’t wear my clothes regularly — like I have too many to wear and some just end up taking up space. I really have more clothes than I need or can wear.
Anyway, I decided to build an outfit around the pink top and decided this tangerine midi-length skirt would be a perfect match. If you love the Anthropologie one I have, American Apparel has one a very similar skirt available in orange, grey, and black. I tried it on a few days ago at the South Congress location and absolutely loved it. I was ready to walk out of there with it on, but caught myself and thought “how many orange midi-length skirts does a girl really need?”
I figure one will suffice.

In some of the photos the actual color of the shirt is difficult to identify — it’s actually a very pale pink, not white. I love the overlapping petals on the sleeves, a delicate and sweet accent to the shirt.

One of my favorite features of this supple pink purse is the bright floral pattern on the inside. It’s always a delight to open the purse up and see this!
