Vote For Our Film!!
So this is unrelated to fashion, but here is some info on the film I worked on a few weeks ago and it’s completed and ready for viewing/voting online!
Okay so here’s the deal. On Monday, September 1st, our short film “Guest Room” will go online along with 9 other finalists to compete for $100,000 in the Doorpost Film Project final round.
It’s a little tricky to vote, and involves a little of your time… but you get to watch movies… on HOPE!
Were about to give you the Cliffs Notes (how we all survived high school English) on the voting process.
Here are the rules of the game:
2009 Short Film Contest - www.thedoorpost.com
Films premiere// August 22 – 31st
Voting begins// September 1 – 16th
1st: www.thedoorpost.com // You must have a Doorpost account in order to be registered as a voter. This process is similar to setting up an account an email, Facebook, or Myspace account// name, email, password, birthday, phone, etc. (TheDoorPost.com is a secure site)
2nd: You have to watch 100% of each film to vote for the film.
During the premiere period you can watch the featured film of the day on the website. Your account will keep record of how much of each film you watch every time you log in.
3rd: Vote.
The voting period allows you to vote for each film and make a top 10 countdown for where you would place the film in the contest. If you have already watched the films during the daily premieres, you will be ready to vote on September 1st. You can re-watch the films if you would like but you do not have to.
After you have voted on each film, the website will generate a ranking for your videos 1 – 10. You can then modify your scores again to make sure the videos are in the order in which you had picked.
4th: The winner is selected in Nashville, TN on September 19th at the 2009 Short Film Award Ceremony and will be announced shortly after at http://thedoorpost.com.
