Non-Stop Weekend
This was yesterday evening’s outfit for drinks at the Driskill, scrabble, awkward downtown explorations and finally, Stephen’s party.
SHIRT: Vintage Krishna (from Brazil - inherited from my grandma)SKIRT: StrutBELT: Buffalo Exchange (thrifted)SANDALS: Andarella (Brazil)
Nothing in my closet looked appealing to me yesterday. Nothing. I think I tried on about four entire outfits complete with shoes and accessories before realizing I didn’t feel comfortable or sexy or anything in that look. So finally I decided to just wear that Strut skirt again since I’d worn it earlier in the week and it was fresh on my mind.Anyway, I wanted to pair the very short, very tight skirt with something fresher and more demure to contrast the two and offset them.I hadn’t ever worn the Krishna shirt before which is really a shame given how gorgeous it is, but it caught my eye as I rifled through my closet and when I tried it on with the skirt, I just loved how they looked together. I like that the skirt is so tight, dark and skimpy whilst the shirt is light, airy, looser and more innocent. It also has the most incredible lace and woven detail.I wasn’t entirely sure about the sandals, but I was running out of time and they made more sense than some of the other things I tried on. I think they may be somewhat out of place with the rest of the outfit, but overall I think it works.
