Grocery Store
I woke up late today and felt lazy so I didn’t bother to brush my hair or put in my contacts or really do much of anything before going to get cereal and kombucha at the Natty Grocer’s.

I realize I’ve never really blogged about Blue Hanger and it’s high time I mention this little piece of heaven. If heaven is really hot and stuffy and has no AC and is packed and smelly.
Anyway, Blue Hanger is Austin’s Goodwill Outlet Store. First of all, the fact that Goodwill even has an outlet is hilarious and bizarre. It’s where the rejected rejects go. Clothes that no one wanted from home went to Goodwill, those that no one buys there… go to the Blue Hanger.
Which makes you wonder why you can even go in and find something good let alone go in and find Ann Taylor Loft sailor style rompers or Le Creuset pans, but I’ve found both!
Everything has a flat price. $5 jeans. $1.30 belts. Etc etc.

I don’t have a photo of the sailor suit I bought there because it was a size too small and I bought it just to resell it. I spent $1.39 on it and Buffalo Exchange bought it from me for $12. Win!
Now if only I could make a career out of this…
Basically Blue Hanger is a gigantic warehouse full of wooden bins piled high with potential goodies. They’re arranged by category: Men’s, Women’s, Accessories etc etc. Every so often someone with a massive cart comes in an refills the bins.
I recommend going early and avoiding weekends unless you want to find yourself getting jostled around by hordes of hipsters and little hispanic children.
Be patient and you’ll find absolute treasures.
