About a year ago I had a serious ankle injury which resulted in a ripped tendon because of impact shock. Impact shock occurs when your work out gear isn’t giving you the support you need and suddenly midway through your jog you ankle gives out and you fall over in immense amounts of pain. Impact shock is basically just the stress your body is enduring from phsyical strain or excercise.
Anyway, since that injury I haven’t been able to wear heels. In fact, for about a week after I sustained the injury, I could barely walk. So it’s exciting for me to even be able to wear a 1” heel despite it having been over a year. The thing is, I love high heels. I love how my legs look in them, I like feeling even taller than my natural 5’8” and I like the feeling of power I get when I’m traipising around town in them.
So I decided to do a little research. With all of the physical therapy behind me, what can I do now to re-learn the oft underestimated skill of walking in skyscraper heels?
