Lunch with the boyf and AFS Essential Cinema
SHIRT: Target
SHORTS: Vintage Bill Blass! (from my mom’s closet)
BELT: Borrowed from the boy
NECKLACE: XXI
OWL NECKLACE: Vintage (Room Service, Austin, TX)
SHOES: UO
HAT: Buffalo

I know I’ve been AWOL for a few days - being home with the parents made me lazy and I barely changed out of pajamas! My mother went through a huge purge of her closet and let me dig through before she disposed of everything. I found the white shorts from the photo which are probably the greatest find of the year. Vintage Bill Blass in mint condition! Apparently my mother bought these just after giving birth to me so they’re about twenty four years old. I had been wanting high waisted 80s-looking shorts but didn’t want to buy some rip off from the mall and these fell into my life at such a precipitous time - I was about to just go buy the first pair I saw! I am so so lucky that they fit too because my mother is a twig!
I am particularly pleased with this find because I feel it embodies a very Bill Blass classic look. Clean, simple Americana. Well-tailored, flattering and forever stylish. I feel I should be sitting on a yacht in 1987 jamming to some Yazz.
After having lunch with the boyfriend and running some errands I decided to stop in at Urban to check and see if anything yummy was on sale. I had been coveting these shoes for about two months now but was hesitant to spend $38 on them (it’s a recession guys!). However, I found them in my size, on sale and couldn’t resist. Also because I had about $22 in credit. They were $19! How could I say no?
