Texan Holiday
I bought this skirt last week at Anthropologie as an early birthday present to myself since I had a 15% coupon and have received numerous compliments on it every time I’ve worn it! It’s one of my favorite new purchases - fun, summer, fresh and demure. It’s also available in grey and yellow and is universally flattering - no matter what your shape.

There’s ponds and bridges and rose bushes and bamboo and...

NYC Day 2
Unfortunately I did not get a photo of my Broadway Ensemble. I was too busy traipsing all around the theater district in heels (mostly trying not to fall over) to stop and take a photo.
Also, if you try to stop to take photos in Manhattan, Manhattanites will growl and scowl at you. I tried to avoid this as much as possible and have thereby become an expert at walking-while-taking-photos.

New York State of Mind
I have been gone for so, so long that I had almost forgotten what my little ol’ blog looked like! Since we last met I’ve gone to NY, come home, spent a wonderful Memorial Day by the lake with Eric and suffered a minor technological crisis which almost left me computer-less and definitely caused a serious miniature panic attack. But the lovely, James Frano-esque boy at the Apple store...

Steal her style
On the left is Krystal Simpson, of What is Reality Anyway. I’m in love, love, love with her outfit.
Hers is that quintessential laid-back, 70s-esque, California aesthetic that I’m obsessed with. Baggy pants, flowing hair, riding boots and quaint peasant tops.
